Hotel Hinteregger I’m reviewing the 4-star hotel called Hinteregger in Katschberg. The town itself is located in Lungau. The hotel has the best ratings in all of Katschberg. I'll be reviewing the hotel's restaurant. The facilities it has and the location. The hotel restaurant has nice food. The kitchen staff in the restaurant is very dedicated to make every week a different menu. Most of the time it will be nice Austrian dishes but, they always spice some stuff up with dishes that can only be served during a certain period. During Christmas and new year days the restaurant always have a special menu that gives even more Christmas feeling. The restaurant has nice decorations and wonderful tables together with chairs and couches. The facilities they have are amazing. The hotel has multiple swimming pools, hot tubs and sauna rooms. The swimming pools are all heated even those that are outside. The sauna rooms are located together with the swimming pools and you can even get a tan on the sunbeds they have prepared for you. They also have a fitness room where you can work-out and a play room which perfect for the kids. The playroom consists of a tennis table, some small castle buildings to play in and lots of other stuff for children up to age of 12. The hotel is well located. The hotel is only 5 minutes of the ski run because it’s so high up in the mountains. It’s the perfect location for parents with kids. They can let the kids go ski and still have some great time of their own. The hotel is in the center of the small town which makes it a perfect location to walk around as well. The town has some nice old pitoresk buildings. It’s not a city for university students because there isn’t a lot to do outside of skiing and sightseeing. The town itself has a nice cultural background dating back from early 1700. During winter holidays they tend to have a nice twist to the town where everyone comes together and celebrate You can say that this hotel is perfect for a family with young kids between the age of 6-12. The parents will love the place having a nice dinner and relaxing at the pools. They will also get to see a lot of culture from outside the hotel in the small village, while the kids can have a great time playing with each other and with the other kids that are running around in the hotel.

Great hotel, especially for children. We have been there many times, and always feel welcome and the staff are very friendly. Its especially great for us as it has a big swimming pool which my wife uses every day.

Nice staff. Good food. Indoor pool, kids club with multiple rooms, kids cinema, special events, a gym, great lobby with enough space to hang out... The beds are too soft for my taste and the Gin Tonics are way too expensive (they cost twice as much as any other cocktails but strangely enough are the only drinks not priced out on the menu, which makes it feel like a rip off). But everything else is great. Overall it's a good choice for families.

As a family with 2 children we had a wonderful experience. The facilities for children are amazing. They had 4 children’s playrooms next to the restaurant so you could eat your diner peacefully while your impatient ones were playing untill they dropped. Almost every day there was something special for them. The wellness facilities are also wonderful. From the indoor swimming pool, the bubble bath, the salt pool to the sauna’s: everything’s well organised. All wellness arrangements (including massages) were also available for children. This family hotel brings you straight to the Christmas living room you saw on tv in the 80’s. The place is packed with hundreds of Teddy bears, family pictures and kitsch figurines. The lobby and the rooms make you become a part of the charming, quaint Traditional family. I would ‘t let them decorate my house though. :) Food was decent. I had no complaints. My children (who are horrible eaters) got to eat every day. Menu’s are also pretty oldschool... but that made it nostalgic I guess. If they would read this: I would recommend to add the evening salad bar to the lunch buffet too. 2 hot meals in one day can get a bit too much. :) But if there’s anything I would recommend this hotel for it’s the wonderful staff. The people at Hinteregger do make you feel welcome. From the receptionists to the ever helpful bar guy and the wonderful people in the restaurant: they were wonderful!!

Paid 287 euro per night. No wifi in the room. "Mountain view" was a close to an outright lie...balcony faced a roof but mountain was viewable if you turn 90 degrees. For the price,it is not worth it. A lot to do for kids though

Hotel is situated on beautiful place, Very short distance to cableway. The rooms are comfortable and clean. I have to recommend restaurant. Dinners were absolutely amazing. I really enjoyed that. Wellness area takes two floors. Downstairs are swimming pool, whirlpools and outdoor pools. Upsters is sauna area, a very nice place to have a rest. Kind personnel. Thank you for this service.
