When you buy all inclusive ticket, you can spend a nice day here. Just one note: restaurants (exept one - Lodge am Krippenstein) are cash only

Unexpectedly one of the best thing we've seen in Austria. It's definitely worth the detour if you go to 5 fingers. It was awesome to go in October because in the high season the caves can get super crowded with 65 people groups.

This place is a good visit for the ice caves part, and if you are a fan of hiking and cave exploring. This place might take up at least 3-4 hours and definitely carry warm clothing for the ice caves, as the temperature can get as low as 0 degrees inside the caves. There are good food options at all points, as well as restrooms. Take the train to Obertraun Dachstein, and take bus 543 from outside the church (behind the train station). Get down at the last stop Dachsteinseilbahn, which is right outside the point from where the cable car to the top begins. Tickets for the bus can be purchased in the bus (cash only). Ticket prices are 2.40 euros per adult and 1.20 euros per child (6-15 years of age).

Amazing experience ; beautiful visit, with an interesting history, the light show really brings something extra to the visit. Depending on the guide, though, you might miss parts of the tour - ours was starting the narration before the whole group was here, and not speaking loud enough for everyone to hear.

We did the ice cave tour but didn’t do five fingers lookout because weather was not great and visibility was low. Ice cave was cool and our guide did a great job. Tram ride up is kinda cool as well. This is a great stop if driving between Salzburg and Vienna.

This was a really nice tour we were able to do with our 8 month old daughter sitting in a backpack (there are a lot of stairs). The guide was really friendly and helpful and the information provided was interesting. The ice cave itself was really special!

Gorgeous. Worth it! A must see. Something very unique to experience. To be in a cave with 25 meter thick ice and 10 meter tall ice blocks is a site! Don't miss it. Keep in mind that from the cable car there is a 15 minute uphill walk that's not easy.

Be prepared for a walk up to the cave and several hundred steps inside the cave. If you are without good shoes or not in OK shape, this might not be for you. The entry is by guided tours only (scheduled) and the guide unlocks and locks the different segments as the group passes.
