★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Der Koppenwinkel ist ein malerischer Ort, welchen man von Bad Aussee nach etwa einer Stunde MTB Fahrt gut erreichen kann und der sich malerisch in die Landschaft einfügt. Einige Schilder weisen auf Wandstürze und ähnliche Ereignisse in den letzten Jahren hin. Der nahe gelegene See ist auch ein phantastisches Fotomotiv. Weiter ging es zum Radweg am Hallstädter See.
The Koppenwinkel is a picturesque place which can be easily reached from Bad Aussee after about an hour's MTB ride and which blends picturesquely into the landscape. Some signs indicate wall falls and similar events in recent years. The nearby lake is also a fantastic photo opportunity. We continued to the cycle path on Lake Hallstadt.

„Seit 1978 steht der gesamte Koppenwinkel unter Naturschutz. Dieser idyllische, von urtümlichem Auwald gesäumte und mit Mini-Inseln geschmückte See wird „Koppenwinkellacke“ genannt, obwohl er 200 Meter lang und durch mehrere Buchten gegliedert ist. Badefreuden verspricht er allerdings keine: das Wasser ist gerade einen halben Meter tief - und eiskalt."
A particularly quiet and mystical place in the Traun Valley.
“The entire Koppenwinkel has been under nature protection since 1978. This idyllic lake, lined with primeval alluvial forest and adorned with mini-islands, is called "Koppenwinkellacke", although it is 200 meters long and divided by several bays. However, it does not promise any bathing pleasure: the water is just half a meter deep - and ice cold. "
