★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Convenient and comfortable train, but 12 EUR one way is half price of the journey by taxi. If you are more than one person - take taxi. The train waiting time - up to 30 minutes. You can be in the centre of the city quicker than that.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I feel very harsh giving CAT a 3 star rating. The service and train itself is actually quite excellent and value for money.
Unfortunately, they have cancelled all services (probably due to COVID) and neglected to tell anyone about it. I only found out that it wasn't operational when I arrived in Vienna 'See you in Spring 2022' state the jolly notices across all of the terminals.
Would it be too much to ask to communicate that the service had been cancelled in a more comprehensive way to avoid countless visitors scratching around for alternative means of transport into Vienna city?
You can get the S7 to the airport, but it is an inferior service and it hasn't been communicated well enough.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very organised train station and airport and very big too, be careful read instructions follow signs to reach your destination. Be aware of very high and expensive water each around 3 euros.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Easy to find and buy tickets online or at the airport, fast and comfortable ride to city centre.
The only thing I don’t understand is why there is no escalator at the airport going down, only up. With bags you will have to go and queue for the lift which is not in an obvious place.
