Die Zacherl-Fabrik und der Gründer, der österreichische Fabrikant und erfolgreiche Geschäftsmann Johann Zacherl sind eine der interessantesten Geschichten der damaligen Zeit. 1880 übergab Zacherl die Firma seinem Sohn Johann Evangelist. Die Fabrik zur Herstellung des Insektenpulvers Zacherlin, das er aus den Blättern einer aus Persien eingeführten Chrysanthemen-Art herstellte, wurde zwischen 1888 und 1892 neu errichtet. Heute ist die fast unveränderte Fabrikanlage in Privatbesitz der Erben und derzeit nicht zugänglich. Zacherlin kannte man in der ganzen k.u.k. Monarchie. Es gab sogar ein beliebtes Lied für Zacherlin, das die vom Ungeziefer Befallenen sangen: „Der rechte Mann, der helfen kann oder Zacherl und sein Pulver".
