★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fantastic view and spectacular surroundings, good food and friendy staff (und ein ganz symphatischer und uriger Hüttenwirt). We assumed it was possible to pay by card, but although that was not possible they worked out a solution so we could afford the stay with the limited cash we brought along.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great location, might be a nice place to spend a night, but unfortunatelly might not really be practical for day hikers who only want to have a meal during the day. Food is only served between 11:30 and 14:30. If you arrive later, all you can get are soups and bread. And the soups are pretty small, even when they cost 6,80€. Had to continue my hike starving that day.
