Save yourself some time and money and don't go to this show! It's a cheap creation with ok music and unnecessary theatricals. The concert hall is really pathetic and hot.

The music was ok, but not for one who would like to go for a professional concert. It was just a funny performance to make tourists happy. Most importantly, the way they sold the tickets was misleading and obviously a tourist trap, just like the other reviews said. We were led to believe that the concert would be conducted in a grand hall and performed by a professional orchestra, but the venue turned out to be smaller than a school hall and the so-called “orchestra” consisted of only around 12 players...it was nothing more than chamber music. It was so disappointing and did not worth the price. Also, we were forced to leave our jackets at the reception and charged 1 euro each. Yes, forced to do so. We refused to take down our jackets at first as we were only wearing short sleeves inside and were afraid that the “hall” would be cold. But the staff did not allow us to keep our jackets and we had no choice but shivered throughout the performance.

Before the performance began, I googled and I did read some negative reviews saying it’s a scam or huge trap and it would definitely ruin our holidays and good moods, so I was a bit worried and yes indeed when I entered the room I felt a bit disappointed because of the interior design. It looked...not like what I expected or imagined... But! The performance was amazing and totally beyond our expectations!! They are so humorous and professional. I like their interaction with the audience and we all enjoyed the moment listening to the music. Yes some people might say it’s not formal or as the traditional one and it’s way too casual or lose the tradition but we should remember one thing, that is, both the performers and audiences were delighted and had fun! The performers enjoyed their show and I could easily felt their passion and enthusiasm and I believe everyone was infected by the atmosphere and we did enjoy it! Every audience stood up clapping hands for them in the end and I felt so touched! Yes, some people might say the bad feeling all comes from salesmen and they all complained about the price. But I think 40 dollars sitting in the third row is fine and I don’t think it’s expensive Don’t compare the show with those in Wien Operahouse. We should know their are different. You want the high-level one then reserve the seat at least one month ago and spend three times money then you will be seated enjoying the big show in the Operahouse. As to the quality of salesmen, it really depends. From our experience, the man we met was sincere and honest and humorous. I don’t feel he lied to us all I would say is he is really a professional sales? he didn’t focus on telling us how big how gorgeous the hall is or how magnificent the stage would be instead he let us know the compositions played and the singers’ background. He even gave us two nice restaurants he highly recommended and when we paid money he didn’t have enough change so he directly gave us more discounts? Anyway, the performance is suitable for classical music amateurs and tourists with lower budgets!

We were not sure of what is it gonna be like especially during Covid times and all other operas are closed. Booked the tickets from a small box in inner strade - very quick. The performance lasted 1hr45mins and was beautiful! The artists were very professional and friendly, while the program included famous pieces and a nice variety. Seating was very smart too especially in such time. Much recommended and worth the money (average 40 to 80 euro depends on place).

Bought tickets from a guy outside St Stephens Church in full regalia and brochures advertising the concert. He explained that there were 3 prices bronze silver and gold. We said we'd go for silver and he said he'd "upgrade" us to gold. The tickets cost 50 each. He provided a map and detailed instructions how to get there. So we got to the venue only to be told it was not the correct place. We were directed to a building formerly a church but now a school where a large hall had a makeshift stage. The building was very interesting and the concert consisted of 9 musicians, two singers and two dancers on a makeshift stage, no bronze, silver or gold here just wooden chairs. The musicians played well but it was not the sound or venue we were expecting and certainly not worth 100. I felt it was a very underhanded thing to do and it left a very sour taste for the evening. I'm sure I wasn't as disappointed as the elderly couple behind me who showed up to what was effectively a school hall in full evening dress. Shame on you Weiner Royal Orchestra for perpuating this charade. Be honest and tell people it's a scaled down version and for God's sake make the price reflect that. Lots of disappointed visitors caught out by this. The photo below shows where it should have been, where it was, and the brochure he gave us. I've also included the ticket which has two venues the second is the one we were sent to.

If someone sells you tickets on the street make sure you know what you are going to a PLEASE don’t pay 90€ p/person to see this concert . We negotiated it to the golden line for 30€ p/person . The chairs from the different “levels” are all the same. The acoustic of the room was not very good but the show was actually good. It’s a pity that they “sell” one thing and then you have another , there’s no need. So make sure if they are selling to the show in beethovenplatz, which is inside a school, or To Schwarzenbergplatz which is a much bigger room ! There’s two types of concerts. Just be aware.
