Sie steht unter Denkmalschutz und zählt zum Unesco Welterbe. Erbaut wurde sie 1185, damals eine Kapelle. the church is located directly on the Mönchsberg and was once built as a hospital church. Fast alle Gottesdienste sind wunderbar musikalisch gestaltet, oft mit moderner Musik und auch vielen jungen Messbesuchern. Unter Tags ist leider meistens das Gitter zugesperrt und man kann nur in den hinteren Teil der Kirche, aber auch dort kann man die Kirche bestaunen. Certainly one of the most beautiful and quiet churches in Salzburg, even if it can easily be overlooked. Almost all church services are wonderfully musically designed, often with modern music and also many young visitors to the mass. During the day, unfortunately, the gate is usually locked and you can only go to the back of the church, but you can also admire the church there.
