This museum tour with the audioguide was by far my favorite thing I did in Salzburg. This audioguide tour takes you through the Residence, the cathedral and St. Peter. Absolutely breathtaking. I've also been to the Residence in Würzburg and I thought it was cool to see the similarities that the prince bishops had in designing their buildings. The frescos in the Residence are breathtaking.

A self-tour that takes you through the 4 iconic buildings in Salzburg Old Town that includes the Cathedral, Residence Palace, Residence Gallery and the St Peter's Museum. Highly recommend it as it allows you to visit the upper chambers of the Cathedral and with comprehensive information about Salzburg's political and religious background. Salzburg Card allows for free access and you just have to follow the signs for the tour that takes you one loop across the 4 places. The tour takes at least an hour to three hours depending on your pace, but it's extremely worth it. Highly recommended.

Wonderful art gallery and museum located in the state rooms of the Residenz. The ticket gives you access to the state rooms of the Prince- Archbishops of Salzburg, the Cathedral Museum - containing mainly religious artefacts, the organ loft high above the cathedral nave (the best view of the cathedral interior) and to terraces providing wonderful views over the surrounding interlinking squares.

My favourite museum of all the dozens I've visited. It almost feels like 3 museums mixed into 1. I'd highly recommend stopping at the cafe partway through and grabbing some refreshments before continuing.

Nice to visit. Is a tour in the rooms of the Palace that continues through the upper floor of the church and continues to 18th century paintings exhibition. You need around 2 3 hour to see properly everything.
