I thought I was getting a good deal when I booked a rental through the Sixt website. Then, to my surprise at the time of pickup, I come to find out that the price reserved didn't include protection package (this was not clear during online reservation). Then, the total price more than tripled (3x). Besides that, there were other extra fees (flexi-late return, road tax, contract fee) that I only came to find out after being charged on my card, which again changed the final price. This is a total lack of respect to clients. The attendant suggested to go to the station *next time* in order to get all the details on the total price. Well, I use online services for two reasons, convenience and social distancing during corona times. So, no there won't be a next time. And no I was never informed of the aforementioned extra fees while being there. Really disappointed with this service, and do not recommend it.

Worst experience to rent a car. I got a bigger car than what I booked, obliging me to pay much more for it. The booking system is completely unreliable, since I could not get what I booked although confirmed by their website. But the front office guy offered us a bottle of water.

4 days after I returned the the Van I had rented from Sixt in Kagran I received a request to pay 450 euro for this damage that they claim that I caused. The tyres on the Van are winter tyres and this is something that someone couldn't cause on purpose. I got scammed from these people, don't hear their employee and please check everything on the car. I was trying to take photos of the car and the employee kept insisting that only there is any serious incident there will be an issue. +Additionally someone by the name Martin from their Customer service department told me that here is Germany and you should speak German (Is this really customer Service in a developed country?) +Additionally I called the consumer's protection organization and they told me that there are many similar incidents with this company Please be careful with those people!

The overall experience was good. We got also a free upgrade. The only negative was that the deposit (300 €) took 2.5 weeks to be returned, depends also on foreign credit card

First of all, I was given a very nice clean car. The lady at the office was very kind. She walked me to the parking area to reassure me because I was very nervous before I drive for the first time outside of my country in my life, The male technician(? or the mechanic) carefully and kindly explained to me how to operate the car. And the woman technician I returned my key was particularly friendly. Everybody spoke good english! *Only thing.. the price is quite too high for me to revisit..

The car issued to me for a family holiday had the driver side mirror held together by a cable tie - it collapsed as soon as we hit 70kms /hr- vehicle not roadworthy and endangered all our lives. And- I booked snow chains 2 months in advance. When we needed them on icy mountain passes in Austrian Alps, discovered the wrong size was provided. Called several times- eventually reached a nice man at sixt reservations.at who agreed this was gross negligence- authorised us to buy correct snow chains and we would be reimbursed at end of rental upon presentation of his email and the receipt. This promise was not honored and on top of that, I was charged for the wrong snow chains! WORST OF ALL- the number listed for this branch ( Wien West Bahnhof) is dead - you can't reach them, and NOWHERE on the entire internet can you find an email address for Sixt Customer Service. Now back in France where I live, everything defaults to the French franchise which has nothing to do with the Austrian Franchise. I am DONE with Sixt. Never again will they get my business - there is no customer service and a blatant disregard for safety of vehicles provided. Update: After 2 weeks, i received a phone call from the Branch Manager with an apology ( Apparently they experienced issues with staffing as a result of both the seasonal holidays and the ongoing pandemic resulting in the issues I experienced.) I also received a credit of 20% reduction on the price I paid, though none of this would have been forthcoming had I not registered a complaint which was difficult because this branch doesn’t have a phone number !
