Der Kahlenberg ist ein beliebtes Ausflugsziel, man hat einen Überblick über ganz Wien und an klaren Tagen bis zu den Kleinen Karpaten in der Slowakei.
Franz Grillparzer erwähnte den Kahlenberg 1844 in einem Stammbuch, veröffentlicht wurde dieser Eintrag erst postum:

Nur wer vom Kahlenberg das Land sich rings besehen,
Wird, was ich schrieb und wer ich bin, verstehen.

JAN, III. Sobieski, König von Polen kam 1683 mit seinem Entsatz Heer vom Kahlenberg und befreite Wien von den Türken - worüber ich mich heute noch freue ohne rassistische Hintergedanken! :-)
With 320m the highest elevation in the Vienna area. The transmission mast has existed since 1953 and is still used in various ways today.
The Kahlenberg is a popular destination, you have an overview of the whole of Vienna and on clear days to the Little Carpathians in Slovakia.
Franz Grillparzer mentioned the Kahlenberg in 1844 in a family book, this entry was only published posthumously:

JAN, III. Sobieski, King of Poland, came in 1683 with his relief army from Kahlenberg and liberated Vienna from the Turks - which I am still happy about today without racist ulterior motives! :-)
