★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nach Aufzeichnungen im domkapitelischen Urbar hat im Jahr 1350 Jakob von Mauer das Gut Mauer besessen; nicht völlig gesichert ist, ab dieser Jakob aus der Lungauer Familie derer von der Mauer stammt. Es ist hier ursprünglich ein Wohnturm zu vermuten, wie er für den Pongau üblich war.
 According to records in the cathedral chapter's land register, Jakob von Mauer owned the Mauer estate in 1350; It is not completely certain that Jakob is from the Lungau family who came from the Wall. Originally a residential tower can be assumed here, as was common in the Pongau.
