M	Michael Faschinger on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Die Ruine ist sehr verfallen, wird offenbar auch nicht mehr gepflegt. Vor 2 Jahren machte sie noch einen etwas besseren Eindruck. Der Zustieg ist recht steil, Absturzgefahr dort und bei der Ruine! The ruin is very dilapidated and is apparently no longer maintained. Two years ago she made a slightly better impression. The approach is quite steep, danger of falling there and at the ruin!
A	Anna Stgr on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Die Katzenburgrunde führt nicht direkt an der Burgruine Statteneck (Katzenburg) vorbei, wie man aufgrund des Namens irrtümlich annehmen könnte. Grundsätzlich sind die kümmerlichen Reste der Burg interessant, da strategisch gut gelegen (aus damaliger Sicht) und heute nicht überlaufen. Leider ist der Weg zu den Mauerresten nicht beschildert. Außerdem liegen zurzeit überall Bäume auf dem Weg zur Ruine, was die Erkundung im unwegsamen Gelände zu einer echten und bei weitem nicht ungefährlichen Herausforderung macht. Fazit: Für echte Abenteurerinnen und Burgenforscherinnen ohne zu große Erwartungen eine Empfehlung. Allen anderen würde ich sagen, dass sie nichts verpassen, wenn sie nicht hinschauen. The Katzenburgrunde does not lead directly past the Statteneck (Katzenburg) castle ruins, as one might mistakenly assume based on the name. Basically, the meager remains of the castle are interesting because they are strategically well located (from the point of view of that time) and are not overcrowded today. Unfortunately, the way to the remains of the wall is not signposted. In addition, there are currently trees everywhere on the way to the ruin, which makes exploring the rough terrain a real and by no means harmless challenge. Conclusion: A recommendation for real adventurers and castle researchers without too high expectations. I would tell everyone else that if they don't look, they won't miss a thing.

An der Nordoststecke der Ramsauer Hochebene, löst sich beim Gehöft Burglehner ein in östlicher Richtung laufender, an drei Seiten steil gegen das Ennstal abfallender Sporn, auf dem hinter zwei sehr tiefen Gräben die Ruine liegt. The small remains of Statteneck Castle are just east of Ramsau, on the edge of the terrain high above the town of Schladming in the Styrian Ennstal. On the northeastern part of the Ramsau plateau, at the Burglehner farmstead, a spur that runs in an easterly direction and descends steeply on three sides towards the Ennstal valley, on which the ruins lie behind two very deep ditches, comes loose.
