Insbesondere die Um- und Zubauten im Rahmen des 2020 fertiggestellten Projekts Szenarium Araburg haben mich begeistert. Der Museumsteil ist klein, aber innovativ. Vom Turm hat man einen schönen Ausblick (nur die Stufen sind aufgrund ihrer Steilheit und kurzen Auftrittsfläche ausschließlich für trittsichere Personen geeignet). Nach dem Besuch der Burg (zu einem absolut fairen Preis) bietet es sich an im Araburgstüberl einzukehren. Der Parkplatz befindet sich unterhalb der Burg, von wo man entweder über den längeren, aber flacheren Forstweg zur Burg kommt, oder man nimmt den steilen Waldweg, der leider schlecht beschildert ist. The Araburg ruins really surprised me in a positive way. I was particularly enthusiastic about the renovations and extensions as part of the Araburg scenario, which was completed in 2020. The museum part is small but innovative. From the tower you have a beautiful view (only the steps are only suitable for sure-footed people due to their steepness and short step area). After visiting the castle (at an absolutely fair price) it is a good idea to stop in the Araburgstüberl. The parking lot is located below the castle, from where you can either get to the castle via the longer but flatter forest path, or you can take the steep forest path, which is unfortunately poorly signposted.

Schöne Höhenburganlage mit vielen erhaltenen Teilen wie Vorburg-mauern , Torhaus in den zweiten Hof, Kapelle, Hochburg Pallas Reste und Bergfried. Der Bergfried ist Begehbar und mit Aussichtsplattform ausgestattet. In der Vorburg befindet sich eine Burg Taverne. Ruin Araburg. Built in the 12th century. Beautiful hillside complex with many preserved parts such as outer walls, gatehouse in the second courtyard, chapel, stronghold Pallas remains and keep. The keep is accessible and equipped with a viewing platform. In the bailey is a castle tavern.

Junggesellenabschied auf der Burg mit Übernachtung ist ein Geheim-Tipp. Alle zwei Jahre findet ein exklusives Burgtheaterstück statt (Juli bis August). Die Burgruine ist klein aber einladend. Vom Parkplatz aus braucht man zu Fuß zwischen 10 und 30 Minuten zur Burg. The catering on the Araburg is very friendly and by appointment also for all possible larger groups possible. Bachelor party at the castle with overnight stay is a secret tip. Every two years there is an exclusive Burgtheater piece (July to August). The castle ruin is small but inviting. From the parking lot you need to walk 10 to 30 minutes to the castle.

Bei der Burg gibt es eine schöne Terrasse, wo man gemütlich (ohne Eintritt) sitzen und die Aussicht genießen kann. Von dem Burgturm aus (mit Eintritt) hat man einen tollen 360° Ausblick bis zum Schneeberg.
