★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It is a fantastic place, recommended for every roman age lover. I visited many places in italy, but the pure ruins do not really help to imagine the buildings. Nice atmosphere, i wish they will build up a town completely.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great museum where you can see how Romans lived in this area. You can visit old recreated houses and there is a lot of things to do. Also old Roman amphitheatre is close. During the summer time there are som Roman festivals and you can see how it was in Romans age. It's close to Vienna or Bratislava.

See detailed reconstructions of kitchens, baths, heating systems - you name it.
A great place to take the kids!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I've been there several times as a child and as an adult and I always enjoyed it! Last time we had a tour guide who was "in character" as a woman from the ancient Roman Empire, she was amazing!
It doesn't matter how old you are, Carnuntum is always a great place to visit if you have the chance to do so.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great place for a family visit. The reconstructions are outstanding. Lots of interesting information for adults and children. They really make sure it loos as authentic as possible with real food, herbs, accessories. We enjoyed the visit! The only thing I would welcome is more menu options for children in the café / restaurant.
