★ ★ ★ ★ ★ During a stroll through Kitzbühel we decided to have dinner in Restaurant Neuwirth and it turned out to be a great decision. The prices are elevated but the taste and quality of the food is outstanding. Both visually preparations and taste of the dishes were excellent. I also liked that even though it seems to be a high class restaurant, the restaurant itself and the staff are down to earth. This creates an easy atmosphere, away from the often snobbish deluxe restaurants.
Only negative point: The served bread with butter and oil coming with our Apero was added with an additional cost on the invoice. That caught us by surprise! I'm ready to pay more for great service and great tasting food, but sliding this in/on the table without saying a word that this costs additionally is a deception. Such a tourist trap is definitely not needed, especially when I left a great tip. Takes away the 5 star rating.
