s	scott pomfret on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This gem just a stone’s throw from the main tourist street provided us with an outstanding lunch of fish soup with shrimp and a Tirolese preparation of beef with roast potatoes and green beans that bested most other Kitzbuhel restaurants we tried — and at a lower price point. The restaurant is anchored by native Tirolean Chef Holzer and his number one server and host Andree (not sure of spelling), a Russian immigrant to Austria with a personality as big as his native country. What started as a quiet lunch became a schnapps-sharing, wide-ranging discussion of food, politics, COVID, Russians, Americans, Tirol, and other topics in a smattering of Russian, English and German. We’re told Restaurant Holzer becomes a more active during dinner and has a small but potent bar scene in the evening. I can’t recommend this spot enough for its combination of great food, service, and raw personality. Just don’t get on the chef’s bad side!

He was combative and disrespectful with multiple tables, he came back several times to confirm the drink order (we were only three people), it took 90 minutes for us to receive our food, we were overcharged and he was insulting. I honestly suspect he was not sober as his approach was that bad. The table next to us asked for an apology from him for his behavior and he refused to do so. The gentleman who cleared the tables was very nice and helpful. Our visit was at the end of February. I would return if there was a new waiter. His photo is contained in another person’s review.

Service: 0 of 5 stars The waiter tend to take himself to seriously. He greeted some of the quests with an uncomfortable hostility that made everyone in the restaurant uneasy. Also to make things worse he continued to bully the guests in German for everyone else to hear. To sum up the service brings down total amount of stars to 1 of 5. Do not recommend this place.
M	Marie Taylor on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had a wonderful dinner tonight at Holzer’s tonight. Service was excellent, food was great and atmosphere is very nice. Started with warm homemade bread and schmalz. Great combination. Husband had pork schnitzel, fries and a tasty cranberry sauce. Juicy and cooked perfectly. I had the spaetzle and salad. Wonderful flavors and very fresh. I should have ordered dressing on the side. Way to much for my taste. Overall I would highly recommend Holzer’s. .
