F	Franz Wiesbauer on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of the best, if not THE best hotel in town. I am from Salzburg but have stayed at the hotel for my honeymoon. So where should I start? The team is super friendly, the interior is very tasteful, and the food is delicious. The Wiener Schnitzel and the Liver are particularly good! We stayed in a suite, which was super spacious and stylish. The Blaue Gans is a place where locals also like to hang out and meet, which is something I look for when travelling to other cities. The hotel has a very nice outdoor area, which is particularly nice in the summer but I hear that they are also planning to vamp it up for the winter season (with fire-places, blankets etc.) so we can enjoy aerosol-free socialising. Good job Blaue Gans team!

We had the potato venison, schnitzel and the tafelspitz. It’s definitely not worth the money they charge and I’ve had better Austrian food at way more affordable rates.
T	Tim K on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 10 Nov, 19:00 food was OK but service was confused, rude and antagonistic. nobody to greet you at the entrance. couldn't find our booking to start, two staff argued until they magically found it(??). tried to seat us at the bar instead of our reserved table because one of our party couldn't make it. worst was at the end when the waiter directly asked us for a tip, explaining that "there is no service charge on the bill". disappointing experience, hope it was just a bad day and not always like this.
J	Joe L on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fabulous hotel with thoughtful, modern rooms, pleasant hotel atmosphere, and an incredibly kind staff at the front desk and restaurant. If you head there for breakfast, be sure to try their homemade mustard, which was the best mustard I've had in my entire life.

I don’t like to pick out dishes in reviews, but the sweetbreads were a real highlight. Soft with a crispy exterior and gorgeous flavour - yum. I’m surprised at some of the other reviews to be honest because it doesn’t even vaguely accord with my experience.
