My experience at the MA35 (5.0, Arndtstraße 67) was very contrasting with the reviews. True, my case was not very complicated and perhaps other procedures are more challenging, but in my situation everything went smooth. Online date booking system is a great idea and should be continued after the pandemics - no crowds, everyone knows where to go or is directed by the staff, which are helpful and nice. The officer handling my case was very professional and spoke very good English, actually offered to switch to English herself. I got the documents fast and without any complications.

Not gonna lie, looking at the reviews here I had very low expectations for this registry office. However I had a pleasant experience there, got my documents quickly without a long wait and everybody was quite nice!

I called with a old lady who speaks only German and a bit of English. She didn't want to listen my situation about the residence permit. She told me "Go home!" so many times even though she didn't understand all the situation, my current visa and so on. It was very unpleasant call, very unhappy about how they treat foreigner.

If you need to come here, make sure that you prepare your self for the unprofessional and very rude staff. The main purpose of this place is working with foreigners from all around the world and communication skills would be the most important one. If anyone from the @MA35 is reading this, than please make sure that you have staff that has proper maners and professional attitude. If that is not possible, than other solution would be to make everything online so you don't need to see us.

I was prepared for worse regarding the reviews. The booking system is not perfect, and I got rejected first time with a strange reason, rebooked again and everything went smooth. The officer handling my case was very professional and spoke very good English. I got the documents fast and without any complications.

I went there during the lockdown. First of all - be prepared that you must have an appointment reserved online. However, the online reservation system is so stupid, that you will waste an hour trying to book a slot, so be prepared. Secondly, the space is clearly too small for the amount of expected visitors - people have to stand very close and outside the actual premises in the stairway. Finally, the processes are terribly slow and make no sense - you need to bring a PAPER request form (yes, in 2021 during COVID), which just gets put in electronically by an employee later... There are only two very busy windows for handling affairs once you get in, and a pseudo queue for the payments. For some reason no one tells you that a printed copy of your ID is needed, so you have to use the paid copy machine yourself! The only positive experience I had was with the lady working the window for Brexit who was very calm and polite.

To be honest, I don't know where all the negative reviews are coming from. I dealt with this office twice, and in both cases my experience was very positive. Staff was nice, I didn't have to wait long, the lady which handled my application was very professional and spoke fluent English. I received all the documents i applied for very fast. After reading all the negative comments I was prepared for some bureaucratic hell, but completely unnecessarily. So don't fear this place, just come prepared with all the necessary application documents and it will all go smooth.

Super weird workers almost discriminative actions. No call answers and hanging up on face. In 21st century within understanding of human dignity means nothing for these people. With corona, their slowness and low pace of working are doubled. no fitting actions are being taken here… “unity in diversity” is only on paper.
