Die Gegend rundherum lädt geradezu zu Spaziergängen im Wald ein. Leicht zu erreichen über den Kreuzweg beginnend gegenüber der Tankstelle am Ortsrand von Puchenau. Two powder towers were preserved as interesting and fortunately still accessible ruins. Looks a lot more impressive from the inside than from the outside. The area around invites you to take walks in the forest. Easily reached via the Kreuzweg starting opposite the petrol station on the outskirts of Puchenau.

Jahrhundert, als Befestigungs- und Verteidigungsanlage errichtet wurde. Wobei das Wort Pulverturm lediglich ein Synonym für diese Befestigungsbauten und Verteidigungsanlagen darstellt. Nur zwei dieser Türme fanden auch tatsächlich als Pulvertürme Verwenung und sind bis heute als „Pulvertürme“ bekannt. Es handelt es sich dabei um den Turm 9 (Apollonia) - heute Stadtmuseum Leonding, dieser diente im Ersten Weltkrieg als Munitions- und Vorratsdepot und Turm 13 (Genoveva) dieser beherbergte von 1933 bis 1955 ein Sprengstofflager. Im Jahr 2000 wurde der Turm von der Stadtgemeinde Leonding gekauft und teilsaniert, um das Objekt als Kulturdenkmal zu erhalten, Im Bereich des „Turmweg Puchenau“ finden sich folgende sehenswerte und beeindruckende Befestigungsanlagen: Warte Edelburga (Edelburga-Turm) und Anschlussmauer, Turm 15 (Luitgarde), Turm 16 (Seraphina), Batterie Thekla.
