★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Der Klara Turm, richtigerweise Batterie Klara, war ein Teil der Maximilianischen Turmlinie aus der ersten Hälfte des 19. Jahrhunderts. Die Turmbefestigungen wurden rund um Linz, sowohl nördlich als auch südlich der Donau zum Schutze der Stadt angelegt. Die größten Verteidigungsanlagen befanden sich am Pöstlingberg, dem sogenannten Fort Pöstlingberg. Von der Batterie Klara sind nur noch fragmentarische Teile, in Form von Steinmauern vorhanden und befinden sich unweit des Hauses Freisederweg 11 am Pöstlingberg im dichten Unterholz verborgen.
 The Klara Tower, more correctly Battery Klara, was part of the Maximilian tower line from the first half of the 19th century. The tower fortifications were built around Linz, both north and south of the Danube, to protect the city. The largest defenses were on Pöstlingberg, the so-called Fort Pöstlingberg. Only fragmentary parts of the Klara battery are left in the form of stone walls and are hidden in the thick undergrowth not far from the house at 11 Freisederweg on Pöstlingberg.
