★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of a dozen of similar defensive towers once built around Linz, this tower is rather uniquely preserved: neither it is reconstructed and converted to something else, nor it lies in ruins. Despite being in rather good shape, it is completely abandoned. It is worth visiting if you are exploring the surrounding woods, just don't expect to find there any kind of museum, or a stand with historical reading, or even a door.
