Kirche St.Georg ! ... der Einstieg/Ausstieg ist von unten nicht leicht zu finden, ... für geübte Wanderer mit etwas Orientierungssinn ist die/der Kirche/Friedhof unten in Kleinwien, wenn man von oben absteigt, eine gute Ausstiegsmöglichkeit ! ... an old, very steep and really rustic forest trail to the former church St.Georg! ... the entry / exit is not easy to find from below, ... for experienced hikers with some sense of direction is the church / cemetery down in Kleinwien, if you descend from the top, a good exit option! ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ein super Aussichtspunkt in das Fladnitztal, nach Göttweig und den Dunkelsteinerwald. Ganz in der Nähe, allerdings nicht so leicht zu finden, gibt es den "Verteidigungsweg". Im ersten Weltkrieg wurden hier Stellungen angelegt, um die Brücken über die Donau zu schützen. Man befürchtete einen italienischen Durchbruch. Man kann die Überreste der Befestigungen zum Teil erahnen. Hier wäre eine Info-Tafel recht nett.
A great vantage point in the Fladnitztal, to Göttweig and the Dunkelsteinerwald. Close by, but not so easy to find, is the "Defense Path". During the First World War, positions were set up here to protect the bridges over the Danube. An Italian breakthrough was feared. One can partly guess what remains of the fortifications. An information board would be nice here.
