★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Kurzer Klettersteig mit Leiter und Seil. Sehr schöne Aussicht mit kleinem Kreuz und einem Gipfelbuch. Mehrere Aufstiege. Vom Kastlkreuz bei Nesselstauden über den Ernsthof eine gute Std. Von Maria Langegg ca. 1 1/2 Std. Kürzer wenn man die Schotterstrasse von Nesselstauden Richtung Mitterarnsdorf fährt. Etwa 2km vom Kastlkreuz auf etwa 600 HM grosser Parkplatz. Ab hier nur 30 bis 40 min.
Short via ferrata with ladder and rope. Very nice view with a small cross and a summit book. Several climbs. From Kastlkreuz near Nesselstauden via Ernsthof a good hour. From Maria Langegg approx. 1 1/2 hours shorter if you drive the gravel road from Nesselstauden towards Mitterarnsdorf. About 2km from the Kastlkreuz on a 600 m high car park. From here only 30 to 40 minutes.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wer zum Hohen Stein möchte, hat mehrere Startmöglichkeiten. Entweder von Hofarnsdorf aus, relativ steil aber problemlos machbar. Oder man startet vom Kreuzberg aus und geht immer auf Forstwegen nur leicht bergauf zum Gipfel. Dauer etwas mehr als 1 Stunde. Bis zum Felsgipfel ist es sehr einfach. Wer aber ganz auf den Fels rauf möchte, muss trittsicher und schwindelfrei sein! Es geht über Steighilfen, 2 Leitern und am Ende mit einer Seilversicherung.
If you want to go to the Hohen Stein, you have several starting options. Either from Hofarnsdorf, relatively steep but easy to do. Or you start from Kreuzberg and always walk only slightly uphill on forest paths to the summit. Duration a little more than 1 hour. It's very easy to get to the top of the rock. But if you want to get all the way up the rock, you have to be sure-footed and free from giddiness! It goes over climbing aids, 2 ladders and at the end with a rope insurance.
