★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The restaurant is located on the peak of Schlegeis and has incredible views. The food is delicious and affordable and the services are almost instantaneous. The only downside for the restaurant would be the number of seats, partly because of the hoards of tourists, but I found it very easy to talk with hikers and join them at one table.
The area around the restaurant has many gorgeous sites for photos, mainly: Zillertal henge brücke (a hanging bridge slightly above the restaurant), Schlegeis Herz (a heart shaped frame with lots of ribbons, strings and other decorations placed by tourists) and lastly you can se one glacial lake and the dam far below.

The ascend take +- 3 hours. Take some good mountain shoes and water with you.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Good food and nice drinks, bit expensive but that's reasonable for the location, also very friendly staff. Can't tell you much about sleeping here but there is lovely view you can get from just a 2/2.5hour 'easy' walk or via the Friesenberghaus and do a 5/6hour walk with even better views but harder and tuffer to do.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Totally worth the hike! (It took us three hours - I wouldn't recommend this hike to children) Bring LOTS of water. Spending the night was the right choice on our part. They turn off the wifi after 8pm though. Gorgeous views and good food!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Bring cash! I'm pretty sure cards aren't accepted (as well as other huts in hiking routes in Austria)
I had the schnitzel which wasn't any different than the others I've tried in Austria.
Nice place to sit and rest and have a beer before you go back down (either straight down or through the much longer way).

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Pretty decent hut with good food/drinks, friendly staff and amazing views.
The hike from the bus stop/car park is exciting and a bit challenging as it is quite steep and rocky but nothing technical. It took me about 1h 40m with a backpack going uphill and 1h going downhill - hiking at a normal pace.
People mentioned not to take half board, but I didn't find any problem in that. The portions were huge (really big Schnitzel) along with soup and desert.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Do I need to say anything about this place? The view from the top is beautiful ❤️.
We took the shortest distance hike, but it's rough path all the way to the top. Rocks and unpaved path. Make sure to have good hiking shoes. The food at the hut is authentic and prices are normal.
