Und der Käse ist super lecker... Weiter so! So far the best alpine pasture on our hikes. Very nice and friendly family. We felt immediately welcome. Definitely worth a hike. And the cheese is delicious ... Keep it up!

Der Wirt und die Wirtin waren unglaublich nett, man hat sich unglaublich heimisch und willkommen gefühlt und die Kinder meinten: "Das waren die besten Schinken-Käse-Toast in ganz Österreich". Worth a trip in any weather, even if you can only watch the cheese being made in the morning. The landlord and landlady were incredibly nice, you felt incredibly at home and welcome and the children said: "That was the best ham and cheese toast in all of Austria".

M	Marc D on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Guter Punkt für weitere Aufstiege. Tolle Käsespezialitäten. Sehr nette Wirtin. Der Aufstieg zur Stoankasern ist relativ easy, wenn man den Forstweg nimmt. Dieser ist auch mit einem Mountainbike und etwas Ausdauer in den Beinen gut möglich, oder mit einem E-Bike. Je nach Fitness und Ausgangspunkt, läuft man ca. 90 bis 120 Minuten bergauf. Auf den umliegenden Wiesen und Wäldern kann man mit Glück unter anderem Murmeltiere bewundern... Oben angekommen kann man sich mit Käse aus der eigenen Käserei stärken. Andere Gerichte gibt es natürlich auch. Die Mitarbeiter sind sehr freundlich und je nach Gästeanzahl haben sie auch Zeit für ein Schwätzchen. Klar, wenn viel los ist, wird das eher weniger was, aber wir waren die einzigen Gäste an dem Tag und haben viel über die Käseherstellung und die weiteren Wanderwege erfahren. Im Sommer kann man von hier aus noch auf höhere Ziele aufbrechen. Dies war dieses Jahr allerdings aufgrund der Schneelage noch nicht möglich... Good point for further ascents. Great cheese specialties. Very nice landlady. The ascent to the Stoankasen is relatively easy if you take the forest path. This is also possible with a mountain bike and some stamina in the legs, or with an e-bike. Depending on your fitness and starting point, you run uphill for about 90 to 120 minutes. If you are lucky, you can admire marmots in the surrounding meadows and forests ... Once at the top, you can fortify yourself with cheese from their own dairy. There are of course other dishes too. The staff are very friendly and, depending on the number of guests, they also have time for a chat. Sure, when there's a lot going on, it won't be so much, but we were the only guests that day and learned a lot about cheese production and the other hiking trails. In summer you can still set out on higher goals from here. However, this was not yet possible this year due to the snow conditions ...
