★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Small DAV hut at the start or end of the Berliner Höhenweg. Accessible to day visitors from three directions. Climb up on one then come down on another. Friendly staff. Good food. Cold beer.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Tasty Kaiserspetzle!! Nice views around the hut. Since we started our hike from here so shower was not the problem but do consider that there is no warm shower in the hut! (There is an open shower with icy cold water) . Pillows were not so comfortable. Lunch packet was ok but bit over priced. Overall normal stay !

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I stayed for one night. The view is amazing and the service is more than excellent. Food and drink choices are diverse. Very cozy restaurant. The shower was the best, very cold and refreshing after the long walk. Bathroom facilities are practical. The one single issue I had was with the dorms (I would have chosen a different acomodation, but it was organized by somebody else). The one we stayed in had 12 or so places in two continuous platforms, so one has to share the sleeping surface. Windows helped to ventilate the room and it was OK but I would have chosen differently.
