★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is the part of the university of Salzburg that deals with the teaching of music (hence the name). It is a world class facility attracting students from all over the world. It's also an excellent piece of modern architecsture in its own right. It's possible to visit during the day and indeed it's possible to attend for free concert by the students studying at the University. You can pick up a programme of performances from the main lobby.
