★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A stunning place to visit, worthwhile but hard work even with an organised trip. The journey up is eventful especially the Lächenwand Lift a unique industrial lift on rails adapted for passengers. The area is high up and plenty of walking to really appreciate the place. If walking up to the reservoir it is best to do it on a good weather day. Verbund, the owners ban cycling on the roads but there is cycle parking and bus transport up to the area.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Hydro electric dams surrounded by snow capped mountains. Go on the trip that takes you through the dam. Great views. You reach the dams via post buses and an interesting cable railway. Buses leave Zell am See every half hour to the base of the dams. Good day out.
