Landhotel Mariensäule

Alles in allem war das Hotel okay, aber mehr auch nicht. Die Betten und das Bad waren sauber, aber schon etwas runtergekommen und in den hintersten Ecken hat man schon mal vergessen zu putzen. Top in Schuss ist was anderes. Das Frühstück war leider sehr schlecht. Hierfür 10€ pro Person zu verlangen ist auf keinen Fall gerechtfertigt. Die Rezeption war morgens und Abends leider nicht besetzt. Für Geschäftsreisende also sehr unpraktisch und unmöglich direkte Absprachen zu machen. Ansonsten ist die Lage wirklich super und es gibt einen Getränkeautomaten mit Bier und Softdrinks im Flur. Das beste am Hotel sind die vielen Balkone, die fast bei jedem Zimmer dabei sind.

Schöne Lage mit Ausblick. Gutes Bier und auch der Eispalatschinken war lecker. Auf letzteren mussten wir etwas länger warten und die Preise könnten günstiger sein… alles in allem aber eine gute Wahl bei einem Ausflug nach Wernstein :-)

Positive: This is our usual stop to and from UK to Croatia twice a year and we love it. Not far from the motorway, quiet and tranquil with fabulous kitchen with great schnitzel :).

Nice hotel with a lovely restaurant and outside terrace.

Positive: Very good location, beautiful view from the room to the Inn and castle, quiet, very clean, heating did very good and quick; very good breakfast, service is good and professional; can also have dinner here; The hotel, restaurant and outside terrace are in good style..

Positive: The location of the facility, the rooms and overall equipment are really pleasing. The staff is very nice and friendly. The overall attitude of the whole hotel is positive and welcoming. We stood in the other part of the hotel already in the years before for at least 3 times, and every time it was a really great and comfortable experience.. Negative: We stood with the family. There were 5 or 6 very loudly drinking and partying guests in the restaurant's outside area, just below our rooms' windows. Because my wife and the kids had a hard time to sleep (we arrived at 22:00 pm after a 7 hour long car trip, and were about to sleep and set off next morning for another 7 hours drive) - I had to go down at 11:30 pm to kindly ask the staff to talk to the guests to be quieter. They may have talked to them but since the noise level didn't changed, it was clear that this didn't worked out so I had to go down after 12:10 am again to ask the guests personally to kindly get quieter so my kids and my wife can sleep (they understood and we heard them going back up to their rooms at about 12:40 am). The next morning we went down for breakfast at 9:45 am (breakfast is until 10:00 am) and there was very few buffet items left. As it was a 15 EUR/person breakfast, we asked for eggs and more breakfast. The staff was kind to prepare everything. Although this experience was a bit dodgy, all in all the service was really nice and the staff was very kind and everybody had a positive attitude and a problem solving mindset. Also, as I mentioned, our previous multiple stays at the hotel's other facility (called Mosthäusl) was always seamless and without any issues..
