Die Himmelsleiter ist - zu Recht - das Highlight des Klettersteigs. Donnermandl und Grat sind ein Genuß. Wenn nur der Abstieg nicht wäre... The first part is really fun. H	Helmuth Mayrhofer on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ein toller Klettersteig mit traumhafter Kulisse, nicht umsonst ein Klassiker unter den Klettersteigen, zumal die Ferrata über die ehemalige Kletterroute von Paul Preuß führt. Paul Preuß gilt als der Pionier des alpinen Kletterns und war der besten Freikletterer zu Beginn des vergangenen Jahrhunderts. Der Klettersteig ist in vier Etappen geteilt und es besteht die Möglichkeit nach jeder Etappe aus der Ferrata über Notausstiege auszusteigen. Ein besonderes Highlight ist die 40 Meter lange Panorama-Himmelsleiter, nach dieser spektakulären Querung über den Abgrund beginnt die vierte und letzte Etappe am Weg auf den Gipfel. Auch wenn die Schwierigkeiten über C/D nicht hinausgehen sollte man jedoch die Länge des gesamten Klettersteiges und auch die zu erkletternden Höhenmeter bis zum Gipfel nicht unterschätzen. Dem Bezwinger eröffnet sich jedoch nach erfolgreichen Gipfelsieg eine phantastische Fernsicht und spektakuläre Tiefblicke. A great via ferrata with a fantastic backdrop, not a classic among via ferrata for nothing, especially since the ferrata leads over the former climbing route of Paul Preuss. Před ferratou jsme čekali hodinu frontu. Advanced ferrata, day trip. One of the best I've climbed. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND climbing in early in the morning when there are not so many people yet. We waited in front of the ferrata for an hour in line.
P	Percy Hairless on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wir sind im Regen mit der Bahn auf der Gablonzer Hütte angekommen und mussten hoffen dass das Wetter am daraufolgenden Tag mitspielen würde. Gott sei Dank war das so und so sind wir zum Einstieg. Der Fels war am Einstieg noch nass, aber es ging recht fix in die Sonnenseite. Der Steig war für mich durchaus kräftezehrend, aber wir sind gut durchgekommen. Das Highlight die Himmelsleiter bedarf keiner weiteren Beschreibung, das war einfach der Hammer. Auf dem Gipfel wird man auf jedenall für die Strapazen des Steigs belohnt. Ein wunderschöner Rundumblick incl. Dachstein, Bischofmütze.... We arrived in the rain on the train at the Gablonzer hut and had to hope that the weather would play on the following day. Thank god it was like that and so we are getting started. The rock was still wet at the entrance, but it was quite fixed in the sunny side. The climb was quite exhausting for me, but we came through well. The highlight the sky ladder needs no further description, that was just awesome. At the summit you will be rewarded for the rigors of the climb. A beautiful panoramic view including Dachstein, Bischofmütze ....

T	Tomáš Podrázský on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Klimbing is very nice, but ferrata is very dangerous when there is even small amount of snow. The rope is under it and you must climb on the snow without safety. Very poor signs along the way and we got lost up to Klein Donnerkogel. Return path is very rocky and exhausting after the ferrata. Better start earlier in the morning.
