Строительство в стиле раннего барокко началось около 1670 года, с частичным использованием средневековой каменной кладки здания предшественника (середины XIII века). От этого же предшественника церкви досталась юго-восточная башня с романскими цокольными этажами и готическим верхним этажом. Освящение новой постройки состоялось 7 августа 1678 года. В 1744 году пожар уничтожил изначально более крутую и высокую крышу башни. В арочных нишах фасада и на боковых улитках находятся статуи Двенадцати Апостолов. Вершина увенчана статуей Христа. Над входом - скульптура Мадонны с младенцем.
From the northwest over Falkenstein dominates the parish Roman Catholic Church of St. Jacob the Elder. Early Baroque construction began around 1670, with partial use of medieval stonework of the predecessor building (mid-XIII century). From the same predecessor of the church got the south-eastern tower with Romanesque basements and the Gothic upper floor. The consecration of the new building took place on August 7, 1678. In 1744, the fire destroyed the originally steeper and higher roof of the tower. In the arched niches of the facade and on the side snails are statues of the Twelve Apostles. The top is crowned with a statue of Christ. Above the entrance is a sculpture of the Madonna and Child.
