★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Found this place thanks to google reviews and thought I’d write one so here I am couple months later:) This bar was my first Vienna experience and set the awesome mood for the whole trip. I arrived late evening, dropped my bag at my hotel and decided to walk around prater park and have one beer... Well I ended up partying all night:)
The bartender and co owner Miguel was super friendly, he asked me about my visit to Vienna, told me about their bar and that it’s named after Catherine the great , empress of Russia. They even had a Samovar in the bar :)
You can see how he actually cares about their service and each costumer. And btw he speaks very good English which is not so common in Vienna. All other people there were locals and I guess regulars to the bar, they were also very friendly and soon we were all drinking shots, talking and having fun. And yes I was there as a female solo traveler and not just I felt completely safe and comfortable but had a great time and somehow local experience:)

Easy to reach as its located at one of Viennas public transport hubs, good drinks, original viennese charm coupled with great, personable service and a colourful crowd of regulars - highly recommended!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A café bar which is quite hidden from rushy tourist-favored places. Once visited and I was very satisfied and positively surprised by the staff. Guy in charge was very kind and even made me a coffee drink which wasn't in their regular menu. Quality coffee beans from Austria are must-try for everyone. Not even mentioning special events like happy hours, parties and so on.. Definitely worth a visit!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I've had a lot of bad coffee in Vienna but this place was just amazing. The service was fantastic- such a friendly and helpful owner who was happy to speak in English and to respond to our broken German. Both the coffee and the hot chocolate were delicious. It was a lovely way to end our day in an inviting and relaxed atmosphere.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One might think that this is a shady place because of its location close to the praterstern station, but it's the opposite. This bar is clean and nice with excellent staff that really want to make you comfortable. Even during the crowded eurovision night they managed to get us a table. Great prices as well!
