★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Das Jazzfestival Saalfelden zählt zu den bekanntesten Festivals in der Contemporary Szene und ist für Saalfelden, tausende internationale Gäste und die versammelte Weltpresse ein absolutes Jahreshighlight. Die feinfühlige und bestens selektierte Programmierung der künstlerischen Leitung (Michaela Mayer/ Mario Steidl) ist ein Garant für ein ausverkauftes Festival weit im Vorfeld und ein Musikerlebnis weit ab vom Mainstream. Wohlabgestimmte Darbietungen an verschiedenenen Spielorten (Main/City Stage, Short Cuts Nexus, Alm Konzerte) machen #jazzsaalfelden zu einem musikalischen und gesellschaftlichen Genusserlebnis. Nicht erfreulich ist die wenig qualitative Entwicklung der Gastroline, die sich 2015 hauptsächlich auf Würstl, Bosna und andere Quicksnacks reduziert hat. Hier sollte auf mehr qualitative Entsprechung zur Musik Wert gelegt und eine bessere Darbietung regionaler Gastronomie geachtet werden! Dies gilt auch für das Ambiente vor dem Congress Saalfelden. Insgesamt aber Top!!
The Saalfelden Jazz Festival is one of the most famous festivals in the contemporary scene and is an absolute highlight for Saalfelden, thousands of international guests and the assembled world press. The sensitive and well-selected programming of the artistic director (Michaela Mayer / Mario Steidl) is a guarantee for a sold-out festival far in advance and a music experience far away from the mainstream. Well-balanced performances at various venues (Main / City Stage, Short Cuts Nexus, Alm Concerts) make #jazzsaalfelden a musical and social pleasure experience. Not pleasing is the low-quality development of Gastroline, which in 2015 has been reduced mainly to sausages, Bosna and other quick snacks. Here should be placed on more qualitative equivalent to the music value and a better presentation of regional gastronomy be respected! This also applies to the ambience in front of the Congress Saalfelden. Overall, top !!

Great music, beautiful weather, what more does a person want, good food, we did that at Rootz.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The new location of the city stage is ok if it doesn't rain. The music played in the msin stage
was mostly terrible. If you are a real jazz lover like myself then you would have been just as dissapointed I like free jazz too but the bands just made a lot of noise.
And I must say I sat in the back and I could hear the music outside just as loud as inside
The sound engineers made a terrible job.
Not just in the main hall but also outside.
I have been to many jazz festivals in europe and many times in saalfelden and this was the worst of all
