Very friendly, family-run hotel, located directly on the lake - ideal for families and the elderly - very quiet location with a wonderful lawn for sunbathing.

Essen, Zimmer top,schöne Liegewiese,das beste zum entspannen,weiters sind schöne Ausflüge möglich z.b.: Mit dem Auto in ca 20min zum Affenberg (Burg Landskron) ,in ca 20 min auf die Gerlitzen oder nur wandern.Wir freuen uns schon riesig auf das nächste mal, kann dieses Hotel nur weiterempfehlen!!! Auch von meinem Nachbar Harry soll ich Euch, liebe Wirtin , Grüsse bestellen er freud sich auf das nächste mal!!! The hotel is in a beautiful, quiet location, it is run by two ladies, no matter what you need, every wish is possible. Food, great rooms, beautiful sunbathing lawn, the best for relaxing, beautiful excursions are also possible, e.g. by car in about 20 minutes to the Affenberg (Landskron Castle), in about 20 minutes to the Gerlitzen or just hiking. We are really looking forward to it next time, can only recommend this hotel! I should also order greetings from my neighbor Harry, dear landlady, he is looking forward to the next time!
K	Katharina Bäck on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Einfaches Hotel (Familienbetrieb), Essen war sehr fleisch"lastig", aber auf Wunsch werden vegetarische Gerichte zubereitet. Das Frühstück ist für mich verbesserungswürdig (Obst fehlt, sehr wenig Gemüse, mehr Auswahl wäre wünschenswert; Eier, Orangensaft, etc. nur gegen Aufpreis). Sauberkeit war mangelhaft (überall viele Spinnweben; auf die Bitte hin, dass unser Badezimmer und die Toilette am Anreisetag noch einmal geputzt werden, wurde nicht eingegangen). Die Wände in unserem Zimmer waren voller Flecken, was unappetitlich aussieht. Umgang mit dem Personal meines Erachtens äußerst kritisch (es ist nicht angebracht mit seinem Personal zu schreien!). Die hoteleigene Liegewiese sowie der neue Steg sind hingegen total gemütlich und bieten angenehmen Urlaubsflair. Simple hotel (family run), food was very meaty, but vegetarian dishes are prepared on request. The breakfast could be improved for me (fruit missing, very few vegetables, more choice would be desirable; eggs, orange juice, etc. only for an extra charge). Cleanliness was poor (lots of cobwebs everywhere; the request that our bathroom and toilet be cleaned again on the day of arrival was not accepted). The walls in our room were stained, which looked unsavory. Dealing with the staff is extremely critical in my opinion (it is not appropriate to shout at your staff!). The hotel's own sunbathing lawn and the new jetty, on the other hand, are totally cozy and offer a pleasant holiday atmosphere.
C	Christina Bäck on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nettes Hotel, dessen Sauberkeit aber zu wünschen übrig lässt. Das Badezimmer war nicht sauber und wurde auch auf Nachfrage hin, nicht geputzt. Solch dreckige und mit Spinnweben verhangene Wände haben wir in noch keinem Hotel gesehen. Das Frühstück und Abendessen waren ok, sind jedoch ausbaufähig. Wirklich toll sind der Badestrand und der neue Steg - dort haben wir's genossen. Nice hotel, but the cleanliness leaves a lot to be desired. The bathroom was not clean and was not cleaned on request. We have never seen such dirty walls covered with cobwebs in any hotel. Breakfast and dinner were ok, but there is room for improvement. The beach and the new jetty are really great - we enjoyed it there.
g	gerhard endler on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fahren seit Jahren in dieses sehr nett geführte Hotel, es ist kein 5 Sterne Hotel, trotzdem ist es sauber und nett eingerichtet, das Essen ist sehr gut, das ambiente ist bodenständig und gemütlich, die Lage ist zentral und sehr ruhig, man kann sich richtig entspannen am hauseigenen Strand direkt am See, hinterm Haus führt direkt ein Wanderweg weg. Die Familie ist sehr bemüht das sich hier jeder wohlfühlt, sollte jemand Wünsche haben bezüglich des Essen, wird er nach Möglichkeit erfüllt. Wir freuen uns schon wieder auf den Sommer im Birkenhof. Have been going to this very nicely run hotel for years, it is not a 5 star hotel, but it is clean and nicely furnished, the food is very good, the atmosphere is down-to-earth and cozy, the location is central and very quiet, you can really relax relax on the hotel's own beach right by the lake, a hiking trail leads directly behind the house. The family tries very hard that everyone feels comfortable here, should anyone have any wishes regarding the food, it will be fulfilled if possible. We are already looking forward to summer at the Birkenhof again.

Die Geschäftsführerin legt u.a. am Telefon einfach auf, wenn sie das Anliegen nicht interessiert. Es war so skurril, dass es schon fast wieder lustig war. Dennoch sehr schade, denn der See und die Umgebung sind wirklich schön. Die zwei Häuser des Hotels sind zudem in recht schlechtem Zustand. Disappointing! Extremely unfriendly and quickly irritated staff. The managing director simply hangs up on the phone if she is not interested in the matter. It was so bizarre it was almost funny again. Still a shame, because the lake and the surrounding area are really beautiful. The two buildings in the hotel are also in very poor condition.

Gastfreundschaft und Qualität werden hier groß geschrieben. Auch Wünsche und Anregungen sind immer willkommen und werden mit größter Mühe umgesetzt. Die Zimmer sind sauber und ansprechend eingerichtet. Beim Essen wird auf die Wünsche der Gäste bestmöglich eingegangen. Der direkte Strand und der See sind unvergleichbar. Jedes Jahr wieder eine schöne Zeit. Our family has been driving in almost every year for over 30 years the Seehotel Birkenhof. Whether with family or dog, you are always welcome. Hospitality and quality are very important here. Wishes and suggestions are always welcome and are implemented with great effort. The rooms are clean and nicely furnished. When it comes to eating, the wishes of the guests are catered for in the best possible way. The direct beach and the lake are incomparable. A great time every year.
