Nice rooms, fair prices, very good food. Only problems we had was with the wifi, colse to none...

The personel is friendly. The WiFi at the lobby is rather slow at 2.5Mbit and the WiFi in the rooms seems to be almost broken. The speed is barely enough to receive notifications.

Ossiach is a beautiful place near the lake. We stayed at the hotel 3 days. The staff at the hotel were exellent, very helpful and they answered all our questions. Restaurant at the hotel was really good. I would recommend to everyone to visit hotel and Ossiach's beautiful landscape.

When we arrived here, we were informed that due to overbooking, we were re-directed to another in the vicinity, a holiday park, where we were kept awake by a singing event they had. We made our way back to Gasthof zur Post the next day and demanded either a room or our money back, at which time we were told that a room had been made available. We had an incredible view from the room but our ‘redemption’ was soon cut short that same night when we were kept awake, this time until 1 a.m., by 3 men who talked incessantly loud and were quite possibly drunk, something not all too pleasant for our 12-year-old daughter. They were sitting at the cafe outside the hotel, which was directly below the balconies to our room so we could hear everything. It was also warm that night so we had to have our doors and windows open which only made it worse. They were also not hotel guests because when the lights finally went out, they all left in 3 separate cars. The owner of the hotel was present at all times and always had a smile and warm greeting for us, as did all the other personnel but it would have been better if they had tried to redeem the first awful day we had there. First of all, if they had overbooked, they could have informed us much earlier either through phone or email, none of which we received. To be sprung on like that after a whole day's drive to get there was rather unacceptable. And by the scene at breakfast the following morning, we weren’t the only guests with young children so it wasn't acceptable that they would allow loud and drunk behaviour at what I assumed was a family friendly establishment. We had booked both breakfast and dinner there and their food, although adequately sufficient was nothing at all like what we had expected. The only consolation we had was the Wi-Fi which we utilised to the fullest as we spent most of the second day in our room due to the exhaustion incurred on our first day there. All in all, no, we wouldn’t be returning here nor will we recommend it to our family and friends. Judging by the other reviews, they might have served other guests well but just not with us.

We had a very bad experience for the secend time now. Very rude and unpolite stuff. No understanding and just coming into rooms when ever they wanted. Also went thru our staf. Food wasn't bed but didn't want to bring as any water with the food. No vegeterian food and had no listen for it. Defenetly the last time we are staying here. I've been in many hotels but this one was one of the worst ones. Would not recommand it to anyone.

We have been there in second week of June 2020. Most other places were closed due COVID-19 or for whatever other reason and we were super happy to find nice restaurant that was open and offered local meals. Service was quick and accurate, portions huge and food tasty. Would really recommend to stay there at least for the lunch.

1st review: (Monday) The service was really slow but the food tasted great! 2nd review: (Wed) We came back two days later. This time the restaurant was not so full and the food came quickly. It tasted really good just like last time (that's why we came back) and the service was good. So, I am changing my rating. Try to arrive early if you want to eat here on a Monday (when many restaurants in Ossiach are closed).
