Expected a lot more from a hotel of this price. The beds, pillows and towels desperately need replacing and the staff aren't very friendly or useful. The food was very average and we were repeatedly refused tap water for the table. The one positive was the swimming pool which we used most nights. Unless you can get this hotel very cheap I couldn't recommend it.

Quirky hotel. Owner is really nice. Check in was easy. Choice of 3 meals for dinner plus 3 extra courses. Great location for ski lifts. Ski rental pickup and drop off is downstairs below hotel.

Great hospital hotel staff, especially the boss man. Such a kind guy. Rooms where super nice and clean. Awesome breakfast and 3 course dinner, every day something else. Ski location was not the best but with the ski bus your in 10 min in auffach which is better. Pool and sauna where super nice. Ski storage and everything youll need for you wintersport holidays.

We have stayed here for a week with half pension There is a lot to do in the surrounding environment! With every stay in the hotel you get a free wildschönaucard with gives you unlimited free access to 2 amazing cable cars rides up the mountains, outdoor swimming pools, musea and more. There are also great bars and restaurants near by. The hotel has some but positive but also negative remarks. First of all, the food (dinner) is nice but the portions are very small which makes you leave with hunger sometimes. If you choose the half pension you get a new 3 course menu every day. However, you can only choose between 2 different main courses and you cannot choose a different starter or dessert. If you wanted to choose from something from the regular menu, you had to sit outside. Breakfast did not contain much variety which is fine for a 3 star hotel. However, the bread was not fresh and the food was not refilled. On the website pictures of very luxury food is visible which is absolutely not present in the hotel. The rooms are good enough for a 3 star Hotel. However, the rooms in the new renovated area did contain a safe and minibar wich the other rooms did not. (Even though we booked 2 of the same quality rooms) None of the rooms contained a "do not disturb" sign to hang on the door which could have been nice to have considering the housekeeping did not knock before entering. The hotel also consists of a pool and saunas which was nice. There was a small area outside with beds to lay on which gave a nice view upon the mountains. Sadly half of the saunas where not functioning and looked abandoned and unfinished. The staff of the hotel can be very friendly but sometimes a bit grumpy. I give this hotel a 3 star review mainly because of the free activities are included with your stay.

I have just completed a 2 week stay in Hotel Harfenwirt and can thoroughly recommend this hotel to others considering a stay in the area. I did read some negative comments but the only one I can come close to concurring with is that the towels are "slightly" smaller than bath sized - though definitely not small and they are very fluffy and fit for purpose and changed rather too regularly - I'm happy to use mine more than once to save the planet. I stayed half board and the food has been absolutely excellent. There was a good spread for breakfast with cereals, fruit, yoghurt, assorted breads with spreads and/or sliced meat/cheese/salad tea/coffee and juices. The evening meal was different every day with a choice of three mains along with a soup, salad and dessert. I was spoilt for choice and thoroughly enjoyed every single meal - my only regret was that I couldn't have multiple choices. I was in a single room which was actually bigger than some doubles I have stayed in. Very warm as is the norm in ski resorts but this was easily fixed by turning the radiators off. Plenty of hot water, storage space and a good wi-fi signal even though it was only quoted as being available in the lobby. The wi-fi connection did occasionally drop but at least I didn't have to go to the lobby to use it I was privileged to have been seated near other single travellers at meal times who were a joy to become acquainted with. I even met three who had stayed at this hotel many times previously - a real credit to Herbert, the owner, who is a real character who spent time getting to know us all and even played his harp for us - a memory I will always cherish. I was on a skiing holiday and it is worth mentioning that the free ski bus stop is right outside the hotel giving direct access to Aufach and the connected Ski Jewel area though there are also several interconnected pistes in Neiderau accessible from right outside the hotel. The hotel has its own heated ski/boot room although it is worth mentioning that there are no lockers so if you want that added bit of security for your skis/boots bring your own lock for them although I'm sure you will be fine without. I would definitely stay here again if I am ever in the area.

Would highly recommend this hotel. Staff very friendly and helpful. Food was delicious. Rooms very clean and cosy. Lots of hot water. Lifts straight across the road which brings you on a lovely run down to the main gondola. If ever back in Niederau we would 100% stay here again.

On a ski trip in March. Virtually a ski in n out for intermediate n advanced skiers only. Ski school 600 meters via free bus transfers. Bus timetable in reception n fairly accurate. U have to walk across the road, about 50 meters. Breakfast mainly choice of cold meat n cheese n standard cereals no bacon or porridge but scrambled eggs available daily. Overall fairly good mark for food. The shower was powerful n the hotel is situated away from the town giving a peaceful sleep. Staff very excellent. I would definitely stay there again.

The staff are great, especially Herbert who is a real character. Welcoming atmosphere and great service in the kitchen, the food is good but I would have liked more on the plate. The rooms are a little tired but functional and the cleaners do a fantastic job while your out for the day!
