★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This almost does not qualify for "alpine hut". It is almost a hotel. Clean, helpful staff and modern interior. The only reason for not giving 5 stars: The kitchen closes at 6pm.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If there was an option for zero stars this would definitely be awarded it... terrible staff service, very rude. Please never come here as you will be very disappointed.
** I would like to assure you that we were also in the Hannoverhaus a long time before 3PM, waiting patiently with hungry children until our order would be taken... only to be dismissed then told we couldn’t order food when the service EVENTUALLY arrived. Turning away and being rude to people in need of a service you claim to provide should never be allowed no matter who they are.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ very poor service . Rude and unpleasant. Would never visit again even if I was starving . Definitely would recommend giving it a miss . We arrived after a long day walking with our 3 children after paying 95 Euros for a cable ride up to the hannover haus ( the only hut that serves food out of the 2 places up there at this time of year ) The website states open for food until 3.30pm . We arrived in plenty of time at 2.40pm . We were told abruptly to take a seat and that this was not self service . After waiting 20 mins ( not 10 mins ) and watching the owner walk past us serving food to other people numerous times we were finally asked for our order OH and now the kitchen was closed by the way . I hasten to add we made it down the mountain finally with 3 still hungry children . We found a friendlier refuge in the village below thank goodness .

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We visited Hannoverhaus in July during our 7 day stay in Austria. We had lunch there. The staff was friendly and diligent. They served the food in 15 minutes after order which was delicious. The variety is not high but in my opinion everybody can find at least one food which matches his/her taste. All in all we were absolutely satisfied.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The hut is in a beautiful setting, high up in the mountains, right next to a ski slope. The restaurant is really pleasant, food great and staff friendly. Highly recommended!
