★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nette ruhige Hütte, in der man schon nach dem morgendlichen Aufstieg eine Kaaspressknödlsuppe inkl. einer herrlichen Aussicht bekommt.
Nice quiet hut where you can get a Kaaspressknödl soup including a wonderful view after the morning climb.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ganz tolle urige Alpenvereinshütte mit zwei super Wirtinnen, die in 2020 die Pacht übernommen haben. Es gibt eigene Hühner, selbstgebackenes Brot zum Frühstück und täglich frischen Kuchen. Auch für Tagesgäste lohnt sich ein Ausflug - schon allein für den einmaligen Rundumblick von der Hütte, die wirklich direkt auf dem Gipfel erbaut wurde.
Great rustic alpine club hut with two super hostesses who took over the lease in 2020. They have their own chickens, home-baked bread for breakfast and fresh cakes every day. An excursion is also worthwhile for day visitors - if only for the unique panoramic view from the hut, which was actually built directly on the summit.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Tolle Hütte, sehr freundliches Hütten Team... Essen und Trinken einmalig, der Eierlikörkuchen von der Anna ist schon die Wanderung allein wert... Aber der 360 Grad Rundumblick ist schon was Außergewöhnliches... Sonnenaufgang und Sonnenuntergang sind da was ganz besonderes.... Waren Rundum sehr zufrieden... Eine sehr schöne Hütte die man unbedingt mal besuchen sollte. .. ???
Great hut, very friendly hut team ... Food and drink unique, Anna's eggnog cake is worth the hike in itself ... But the 360 degree view is something extraordinary ... Sunrise and sunset are something very special. ... We were very satisfied all round ... A very beautiful hut that you should definitely visit. .. ???

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wat een tocht vanuit de Bieberalm, de andere zijde van het dal, 900 meter dalen en dan weer 1550 meter stijgen: met goed weer kun je vanuit de ene hut de andere hut zien.
Helaas was het weer tijdens de beklimming slecht (mist, regen en wind), waardoor je weinig van de omringende Alpenreuzen ziet. De entree in deze oudste hut van Oostenrijk maakt alles goed, mede door de charmante dames die de hut bestieren. Niet goedkoop, wel een uniek ervaring met scheve deuren, krakende planken en gemeenschappelijk washandje als douche .....
What a trip from the Bieberalm, the other side of the valley, descending 900 meters and then ascending 1550 meters again: with good weather you can see the other hut from one hut.
Unfortunately, the weather during the climb was bad (fog, rain and wind), so you see little of the surrounding Alpine giants. The entrance to this oldest hut in Austria makes up for everything, partly because of the charming ladies who run the hut. Not cheap, but a unique experience with crooked doors, creaking shelves and common washcloth as a shower.....

Unfortunately, I cannot rate the hut itself, as it is closed, but the view from the summit is overwhelming

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ein absolut zu empfehlendes Ziel. Langer und zum Teil steiler Aufstieg der belohnt wird. Sehr netter Service, sehr gute österreichische Hausmannskost. Wahnsinns Aussicht.
Achtung! Von der Rastötzenalm bitte Feuerholz mit nach oben nehmen, es gibt keine Seilbahn?.
An absolutely recommendable destination. Long and sometimes steep ascent that is rewarded. Very nice service, very good Austrian home cooking. insane view.
Caution! Please take firewood up from the Rastötzenalm, there is no cable car ?.
