Mehrere Bahnsteige, welche durch eine Unterführung miteinander verbunden sind. Barrierefrei erreichbar. Umsteigemöglichkeiten zu Bussen sind gegeben, eine Haltestelle befindet sich direkt beim Bahnhof. Kurzer Fußweg ins Stadtzentrum, man muss nur die Brücken über die Salzach überqueren. Nacht leben spielt sich in Bars und der gleichen ab,also wenn man wirklich mit Freunden etwas machen will muss man schon nach Salzburg fahren! Der Bahnhof ist definitiv stark veraltet und würde dringend Mal wieder ein Makeover benötigen, um auf den aktuellen Stand der Technik zu kommen. Die Bahnsteige und die gesamte Anlage ist jedoch sehr sauber und gepflegt . I have been in Hallein for a long time. The station is definitely outdated and would desperately need a makeover again to get the latest technology. The platforms and the entire area is very clean and well maintained.

Allerdings kann man an Wochenenden und Feiertagen nur am Automaten Fahrkarten kaufen. Da sollte man genug Kleingeld mithaben, denn größere Scheine als € 10,- nimmt der Automat nicht. Eisenbahn und Polizei ist machtlos ???
