A place of beauty and serene nature views. Its surrounding beauty can't be captured as camera can't justify it. Go ahead for Salzburg card provided in the hauptbahnof depending on Ur days.. amazing view and nice place

Well maintained Central Train Station Salzburg Hbf. Opens on two sides. Only the main side towards platform No. 1 has ample local bus connections, taxi service, stores and restaurants/eateries. Comfortable approach to and from the Station. The difficult part is that dedicated Tourist Info counters missing and this is a hassle for the first timer. The info counters "I" are dedicated to OBB Train and Transport Services, hence not much of help or not forthcoming with help. The station has a paid luggage storage facility.

It's big and good. It has super market, obb shop, obb waiting room, restaurant, tourist information center. You can get city bus ticket from tobacco shop also. What else you can ask for. All buses go through Hbf only, so pictures are also provided. Cycle stands are there. Munich Budapest Vienna etc you can go from here by train.

Drive from Vienna to Slazburg was very picturesque. This place was as expected scenic, with lovely buildings, clean, numerous alleys. Antonio our guide filled us with the minute details of information which we were lacking. Walking or cycling is the best way to explore this place. It's full of vibrant colours and positive energy. Sit in the benches with an ice cream and enjoy the tranquility.

I used Salzburg Hauptbahnhof for my day trip from Munich. It's a thoroughly modern train station and very easy to use. The facilities here are excellent with shopping, restaurants, cafes and even a supermarket. Although almost everything bar the supermarket will have closed by around 7pm Train arrival and departure times are clearly displayed on the many displays throughout the station or there's a manned information office near the main entrance.

Salzburg is one of the most beautiful , quite yet lively place to visit. Surrounded by beautiful mountains and the Danube river flowing through the middle. It has a long straight banks with marked bike paths.Public transportation is good. At most of the central places one can buy 24 hour to ticket for Euro 4.50 which in my opinion is good enough to cover the travel. single tickets are 2.5 euros and are valid only for 1 hour. Lots of local and outside city limits sightseeing options. A private tour to Hallstatt can also be taken from here (highly recommended). A variety of cuisine available to try on.
