Green Motion Car and Van Rental Vienna

Please avoid this company. The first car I received had the engine out of order, the three warning lights were turned on. I was told that this is not a problem. But after 100 km I was not able to travel faster that 60 km/h in the highway. The engine had no power. When I insisted to change a car I received the second car but last day when I was going back the gearbox stopped working. I nearly missed the plane

I booked a car with green motion starting today for 6 six days in Vienna Austria. I was presented 40 minutes late with a small old scratched and dented car that already had more then 120 000km on its meter. And in addition it had a Croatian license plate. I didn't feel safe driving this car so I didn't take it. I spoke to the manager and asked for a different car, but I was told it is the only one they have available. I emailed green motion for a refund, but didn't get a response yet. Seems to me that (illegal/unprofessional) car renting companies use the franchise green motion to portrait to be trustworthy companies like sixt, europecar and co Booking Confirmation Number: WOS-2602547-2578675

Honestly I was very skeptic when I read many reviews about Green Motion Vienna but I was positively surprised. The location was bit out from airport, but this did not affect me much as I picked it up the next day after arrival in Vienna. Also they had Croatian registration but this did not change anything in practical for me. I rented a 7 seater (Through Opodo). The price was very competitive. Later I changed my plans(added two days) and the company did not put any exorbitant charges which I was afraid of. I called couple of times and some of them were very helpful and others were a bit reluctant(But might due to busy Christmas holidays). When I went to collect the car, I was treated very nicely by all the staff(Especially one named Nermi).Also Albir and Zabir where also very kind. I got a 2017 Opel Zafira in fairly good condition. Since I was renting for 9 days, they offered me the GPS also. The car had very minor scratches, but they said any scratches under 3 cm will not be considered against the excess and they stood by that when I returned the car. Also during the rental at one place I got a low coolant warning, but the guys helped me to identify to do the right steps over a video call. Altogether this was a very good experience for me compared to many other reviews and hence I decided that they deserve a 5 star. I hope they keep the same quality of service in the future and they get a better reputation and stars.

The worst car rental company ever!!! 1 month before my trip I ordered a car to AirPort Vienna, I got a confirming email. When I was on AirPort i called the company, that i am on AirPort and they can pick me up, but thay said “we have no car for you”. Then I was in country, where I didn’t speak their language. It wouldn’t be a problem if I go home for longer time, but I was at home after 8 mounths only for 2,5 days! Then what to do? How to go home? Next bus to my city what have free seat (everything reserved) is going next morning 4:20... So only with taxi for 150€, then I had to find somebody who can give me a car for weekend, also for this a had to pay and then for bus back to AirPort. From 2,5days I travelled 1 day, thank you Green Motion!

I wish I had read the reviews on Google before signing up with them. It was our first time visiting Europe and our first road trip in Austria and it turned out to be the most horrendous experience. Thanks to this car rental agency. Our car's tire burst around midnight in middle of nowhere and we had almost no network. There was no spare tire in the trunk which is against the law. We somehow rode to a small town where we got some network and tried calling the roadside assistance. After calling some ten times, the person who picked up said, "I am sleeping, please call in the morning" and hung up on us. We ended up spending the night in the car (unable to sleep as we were scared for our life) as there was no hotel or mechanic within 30 kms. Next morning, we somehow drove to a mechanic and got the tire replaced. When we returned the car, we fought with them that they at least need to reimburse us for the horrible experience and cover the cost of the tire but just said its wear and tear and not part of the coverage. Over and above, they charged us EUR 600 for two-three minor scratches which they "found" on the car! If only we knew, we would have taken photos of the car from all angles. And fighting them was usless because the person whom we dealt with was the most heartless a****le I have ever come across my entire life. If this wasn't enough, we received a speeding ticket after a month from the agency. We were fine with it as they provided the proof for the same. But six months after the rental, my credit card was charged again for the speeding ticket for which we did not even receive any proof! I have since been trying to follow up with them to provide me with proof of the speeding ticket but to no use. I even escalated this issue with their headquarters in UK but to no use. I know this is a big rant but please read it so that it can save you some major heartburn down the line. It would suck for your first Euro road trip experience to be marred because of such people. Save your time and money and read reviews before going with any other rental agency.

COMPANY IS A SCAM. I am literally trying to pick up my car and there isn't even an office for them. They don't answer the phone. The other workers on site have never heard of them. If you booked you got screwed. Will be reporting to the police.

STAY AWAY!!!! Unless you want to end up stranded at the airport without the car promised. We booked a car to pick up upon arrival at Vienna airport through Expedia .Prior to our trip we even did online checking uploading the drivers license and stuff for the hope of hassle free checkout. Upon arriving at the airport- we called them as advised. The person was absolutely not interested in serving us as client. He simply told we have car that might come bac at 1 PM and advised us to hang out at airport from 10 AM to 1 PM.... what a joke!!!.... We already reported them to Expedia and cancelled the booking.

Staff was very friendly and helpful! I find it was great value for money considering it was 3 times cheaper then the alternstives. I didn't mind spending an additional 15 minutes to pick up the car outside of the airport.
