★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A simple place where you always find local people next to tourists. Good Beer (it is a Restaurant belonging to a brewery), simple but really nice food, I recommend the Engel-Schnitzel, the Bauern-Salat and the Club-Sandwich. On top you get fair prices, a nice collection of wines. A few days ago the chef made an Austrian/Old-German Afterdish that tastet like my grandgrandma did it.... lovely place!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very helpful staff. The restaurant for dinner is sufficient for.half board, but we craved better food. The breakfast was normal European. Rooms were dated, but everything worked as needed.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had a fantastic winter stay. Rooms are clean, freshly renovated with nice bathrooms. Room had a balcony with gorgeous views of the mountains. Free wifi and TV in the room. Food in the restaurant is highly reccomended - great prices! Already planning my next stay!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ OK. The hostel is reasonably well run and the dormitory beds are fine. Location is good for the ski lift. The woman who seems to run the restaurant is particularly rude though. Won't fill your water bottle with water either.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A good budget experience. If you came to Badgastein to ski and are not very demanding, this will be a good choice. The hotel is 200m away from a ski lift and train/bus station, but has also decent parking for guests.
Personally, I missed a better variety of breakfast food, especially warm buffet - sausages, bacon, scrambled eggs etc.
Also, this might not be the best place for you if you are a light sleeper - the proximity of main road and train station will give you difficulties.
