There is just not enough space or words to describe how much I like the food, the staff, the place. Very friendly, lunch menu makes your mouth water, portions are just right to make you feel happy but not too full so you can go on with your day. Also the interactions whether on the phone or during pick up are lovely and friendly. Definitely worth a recommendation :)

great place, happy to have discovered it! we had smoked saibling and beetroot soup as starters and then the lachsforelle and artichoke gröstl (SO SO GOOD!!). very good food quality, creative combination of ingredients and super friendly service. must be great to sit outside in the summertime! we will come back for sure!

Such a cool location, just in the backyard of some building. Seemed to be some industrial side in an earlier life. Food was very good, had the Blunzenfrühlingsrolle (spring rolls filled with black pudding) which were awesome, could have eaten two more orders of those. As a main I had the Spanferkel (pork) which was good but, at least for my taste, missed some seasoning. The steak I‘ve been tolded was excellent. We treated ourselves well and ordered desserts too, creme brulee (decent) and Apfeltartlettes (small apple tarte) served with walnut ice cream, tasted pretty good. The service has been not that great but they were so super friendly and nice, all is forgiven.

Clever modern cookery with good combinations of textures and flavours. Portion sizes that encourage and enable having 3 courses, all delicious! Very good service too.

By far and away one of our best dining experiences for a first time in Vienna. We were coming of a very long amble through the city and I had found Das Lokal im Hof on my phone when we started thinking about dinner (which you need to think about in advance when you have a four year old!). We're not the kind of parents who subject other adult diners to our child (even though she is pretty good in restaurants) in settings which aren't kid-friendly and from the photos, this seemed like one of those places. However it had outdoor seating and it was 5:30 and we had walked a long way, so we decided to chance it. I should start taking more chances - this place was wonderful both in service and in food! We didn't have a reservation (which clearly was needed and indicated how good it is) but the staff kindly offered to seat us if we could leave by 7 pm. Again, with a four year old that's not a big ask :) They went out of their way to make her feel welcome providing some crayons, paper, and a special drink. The food was amazing and their wine selection was excellent! Even though an hour and a half doesn't seem long enough, they never made us feel rushed or that our unexpected arrival was problematic. This is definitely a hidden gem in Vienna and we would absolutely recommend it (earlier side if you have kids, and definitely the later side if it's just the grown ups - they have an unexpected outdoor space that says 'linger here', well past the clearing of the plates.

Simply the best. Absolutely amazing food, very nice stuff and home atmosphere. Beg u, don't miss or skip this place ❤️

This spot is my new favorite. I'm determined to explore the entire menu, beginning with the Ceviche vom Seesaibling and the Confierter Schweinsbauch I relished last night. Excuisite. The service was warm, friendly, and perfectly attentive. And there's lovely outdoor seating to accommodate plenty of folks on a gorgeous summer night.
