Excellent and fresh doughnuts! The pastry shop is also famous for the original "Mozartkugeln".

Nice, but busy cafe that sells very good chocolate candies, reasonably priced coffee; never leave without getting a bag of original Mozartkugeln!

My wife and I recently visited the cafe to buy some of their deserts... BIG MISTAKE. Perhaps it was because of our race (Korean), but the staff gave us ugly looks and ignored us for a long period-- before serving us very rudely. These folks had mastered the art of rudeness, sneaking in a sneer or glare every time our eyes met... They were definitely looking down at us, and it ultimately left us with a terrible impression of Salzburg in general. Seeing so many positive reviews of this place, it's natural for me to suspect racism, or bad day on part of the waitresses. To be honest, we left this store a bit teary-eyed.

Great atmosphere, where you can relax with a hot cup of coffee or tea. The sell the famous Mozart Chocolate here, but it is expensive at 1,3 euros a piece roughly. Their toilet is open only to their guests, so you would have to buy something to be able to use it.

I came to this charming and quaint cafe mainly for the chocolates, to try their famous Mozart balls, but I had no idea what I was in for. I tried the Bach cubes, which were my favorite, as well as the Wolf Block and Doppler Effect. I loved all of them, better than the Mozart Balls, which were marzipan inside. The Bach cubes were truffle like, and brought small boxes back to the States for my my music teachers and family. They loved me for this gift! In my opinion, the last three I mentioned are very rich, unique and the creme de la creme of chocolates in Salzburg! Do not pass up the opportunity to give them a try, but it depends on your tastes I suppose and prior experiences with chocolate. I was more than pleased. They are addicting, don't be surprised if you end up eating the entire box.

I have tried Mozartkugel produced by many different brands and this one really is one of the best ones. It is still hand made which is obvious when you unwrap it and see the shape. They were fresh whenever we got them here. The service was really quick and helpful, they spoke good English. The place can get crowded but it is definitely worth the wait.

I don’t understand the fuss and price of the chocolate. We bought one each and it wasn’t like my world rocked. I’ll have to read up on the bAck story at some stage to understand it better. They did have a wide range to I know from and it seemed extremely popular so we did try it at least. They offer insulated bags for people in summer which was a nice touch.
