★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Was excited to visit the place before my return flight, but after walking through the construction site it turned out to be closed, even though it sais that its opening times are 10:00-18:00. Shame :(

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you are interested in aircrafts and what's going on at an airport, a visit of the terrace offers nice views over the apron and tarmac. Signs explain the common aircraft types and aviation procedures related to airports. Check the arrival time of the daily Emirates A380 from DBX!
The admission is a bit pricey but understandable for the security checks that are obviously needed.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A nice observation deck in the VIE airport. Go to terminal 3 then change a few elevators to level 3 to reach it. Firstly you will see a long hall with different types of aircrafts from almost all companies who are or have been flying to the airport and then after taking last round of steps (or again, using the lift) you can discover a beautiful spotting place.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This observation desk is a part of Terminal 3. It is not so difficult to find. Just go to the first floor and than follow the sings. When you get there you will an excellent view of the planes and all boarding services.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is the highlight of Vienna Airport. No matter if i am flying myself out of Vienna or there to drop/receive someone, i go there to spend some time and enjoy the sight of planes taking off and airport operations. Best is to visit over sunday evening when a lot of activity is happening.
The staff at security control is always usually very friendly. The ticket costs around 5 EUR for full day and around 3 for two-hours duration. As far i experienced only credit card works or you gotta have cash.
