★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place is full with plane spotters so you might not even get a place on the ‘hügel’! Also, there is better places to watch planes around the airport, but I can’t reveal our secret place :)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Good for analogue planespotting, but if it's photography you're after, you're better off finding a place on the other side of the runway. The sun turns over between 10 and 11 am, so photos taken from the hill will be backlit from about 11 am onwards. During hot days you're better off moving south along the fence to get 34 arrivals/16 departures in the air, or going north towards the "Reichsstraße" to get 34 departures and 16 arrivals, as heat haze will likely affect your photo if the plane is on the ground.
