I stayed at the Hotel Tyrol for three nights at the end of August. I was received very kindly. The room was clean and typically Bavarian / Austrian furnished. The bed was very comfortable.
The breakfast is completely sufficient and there was something for everyone. I had half board - the dinner was very good, the service looks friendly and always ready to have fun.
The wellness area is clean, but unfortunately not everything was functional. The opening times of the wellness area could also be expanded - daily closing time as early as 7.30 p.m. That was a bit of a shame because I would have liked to relax a little after dinner after a strenuous day of hiking.
Otherwise, I can highly recommend the hotel for long hikes!

Komme gerne wieder!
I was here for mountain biking for 5 days. The double room was spacious, clean and had a great view of the Zugspitze from the balcony. Furniture is not new - but that's not a negative point, everything is clean, functional and nothing is missing! Staff also very nice and accommodating. Swimming pool good for relaxing after the bike tour. I would love to come back!

Very nice, modern and well-kept hotel. The breakfast buffet was probably due to the few guests in the off-season, not outstandingly varied but solid and tasty. The staff were consistently very friendly and the coffee habits they could change on the 2nd day.
The only drawback is the stupid railway that is far away, but definitely lets its horn sound 10 times while driving through the valley. And that from just before 6 in the morning. Only oropax can help.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We have been here one time before a couple of days earlier to get something to drink after dropping of my nephews at the nearby ski school. That day we were helped by a very friendly lady. We ordered some latte macchiato’s and payed without any concerns and a good overall feeling. The entourage was nice, clean and modern and looked very professional. No complaints at all. Good experience. Thumbs up!
Some days later we went again for a drink with one of the boys after picking him up from the school again. I entered the restaurant with the ski`s of my nephew still in hand. My mistake simply didn’t notice. The guy told us to leave the ski`s outside of the restaurant. No problem, my apologies and I can totally understand (melting snow on the floor and whatnot). I gave them to my mother who was behind me and she placed them in the corner of the hallway (which was outside the restaurant but still in the building).
We took a seat and the guy stepped forward saying that the ski`s must be outside. Again, I can understand, and maybe due to the language barrier we misunderstood what he meant with outside but the way he told us was simply rude. He said something like “I already told you to put them outside”. Everything was in German which we can understand to a fair degree (we`re Dutch so the languages are similar). Again, made our apologies and we placed them outside as he told us.
We wanted to order some latte macchiatos. “We don’t have that, only cappuccino”. Ok, fine, give us some cappuccino`s then (didn’t we ordered them a couple of days ago??). Probably more work for him to make a latte compared to a cappuccino. Whatever… we are not that difficult.
To be fair, maybe they really did not have latte`s at the time we were there for a good reason, but it was again the way he said it.
Finished our drinks, asked to pay. My mother wanted to pay with debit card. “No, not possible.” To be fair, we heard that in Austria it is common that payments below €10 or €20 are made in cash since high debit/Creditcard transaction costs are still a thing in the country.
So, my mother said she did not have anything else with her to pay with at the time. He said something like, “Then that’s bad luck for you.” I definitely heard him saying the word “pech” which has the same meaning in both our languages (meaning bad luck/touch luck) My sister had enough of this guy so she payed cash to be done with it.
I can understand that since it was a small amount, cash payment is preferred but if somebody wants to (or can only) pay with card then simply add an additional charge to the bill or something like that and be done with it. But not like “that’s bad luck for you”. Seriously? Or simply say it in a different way like: “I am sorry but for these amounts we really can only accepts cash payments since

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The hotel itself and the rooms are nice and the facilities are good, though having the boot and ski rooms at opposite ends of the hotel is quite inconvenient. The food wasn't up to the standard it should be though it's clear that the kitchen is capable of producing excellent food.
The staff could be more helpful, one staff member on the front desk couldn't even tell us where the ski room was in the hotel, couldn't tell us which ski lift was closest and didn't book a taxi for when we were leaving when we asked.
