★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It memorizes the famous Austrian music composer Anton Bruckner who lived nearby the old Ringtheatre and who survived the big fire in this theatre.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This monument stands in tribute to Anton Bruckner, a 19th century Austrian composer, organist, and music theorist.
The monument is a bronze bust of Bruckner sitting atop a decorative socle of marble. The bust depicts Bruckner as an elderly man. The upper part of his torso and arms are also depict and unusually for a bust is highly textured to show the folds of his clothing, despite only wearing a suit. His left hand is placed in front with his index finger raised as if making a point.
The monument is located in Stadtpark, a pretty park in itself, and amongst many monuments to other notable Austrian composers, in the park. Plus one for the textures and details on the bust.

I recently visited Stadtpark while it was partially covered with snow. There were blue skies on the morning as well, making good conditions for viewing the monuments at the park including that of 19th-century Austrian composer, Anton Bruckner.
The bust was unveiled at Stadtpark in 1899 and is a depiction of an aged Bruckner, peering to the right and raising his left hand slightly. The bust is atop of a simple pillar resting upon four small, compacted pillars. Two similar compacted pillars flank the bust on both sides.
Hereby you can see statues and busts of other beloved Austrian composers, artists and writers such as the nearby monuments to Schubert and Strauss.
