★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A more recent addition to the monuments at Stadtpark is that dedicated to 20th-century songwriter, conductor and composer - Robert Stolz (1880-1975). The monument was created by Austrian sculptor Rudolf Friedl in 1980 and is situated near the lake in park.
The monument is a curved granite structure with gold engravings as well as a bronze portrait bust of an aged Stolz situated near the far right (when viewing) of the monument. In addition to the gold engraving of Stolz name, there is also a short inscription in German engraved into the monument as well.
